Dileep Devapal from UST global is one of the winners of the Nokia Make My App contest. Nokia conducted this contest in connection with the launch of their forthcoming phone N8. Dileep’s idea was to develop an app that can utilize the macro feature of the 12 Mega Pixel camera of the N8 to take photos of a document and convert it into Word/PDF document that can be saved on the mobile. The proposed app should be able to process the image in the phone itself rather than uploading to a 3rd party server.
Dileep’s idea will be made into real app at Nokia World event to be held in London, on September 14-15. He had submitted the idea under the ‘Think Green’ category. He will get a brand new Nokia N8 as the prize.
